Today I would like to share with you a goal tip that has helped me get back on track with some of my goals. It might help you as well.

It’s simple: our goal needs a routine.

We all know we need to set goals and then take action. But without a routine, we often have to rely on our willpower, motivation, and self-discipline to remember to do whatever is required to reach our goal.

Routines are not just plans. You may have a plan, but not necessarily a routine. Routines help you take consistent action, while plans often fail you. What’s more, even without a detailed plan, you can still set up a basic routine, with a fixed time and place to work on your goal. Routines are action conducive.

Looking back on a few goals I’ve been working on last year, those that have been accomplished usually had a firm routine, but those that weren’t often lacked a solid routine, although they may all have good plans.

So to have a better chance of achieving your goals this month, remember this tip and make sure each of your high priority goals have a routine.
